The blast happened at a military headquarters on the outskirts of Sidon in the southern part of Lebanon, injuring 30 people, authorities said. It was also reported to be an attack on Israel
Israeli forces allegedly located the ammunition warehouse in the southern Lebanon district of Qana just before it exploded with a “mixture of explosives and ammunition” according to Lebanese forces.
Clashes between Israeli forces and Hamas fighters took place in southern Gaza during an Israeli ground offensive that began on July 8. The fighting left close to a hundred Palestinians dead.
Local Palestinian officials said the explosion was caused by explosives hidden in a car parked near a Hamas storage facility in the northern part of the besieged Gaza Strip.
There was no reported damage to any Israeli vehicles and most Israeli roads were not affected.
The Israeli attack on militants in Gaza on Friday and Sunday killed some 30 militants and 9 members of the Israeli military, according to the Israeli military.
