The Houston Texans are the latest NFL team to suffer as the New England Patriots beat the Miami Dolphins to help ensure a home game for next weekend’s Super Bowl.
Saturday’s 13-6 win secured their place in the NFL’s final week and saw New England top the AFC East division.
Earlier, the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers 19-14 and ensured a home tie for next Sunday’s Super Bowl.
The Chiefs lost on the final weekend last year.
The Houston Texans are fifth in the AFC South division but will miss out on a home tie in the first round of the NFL playoffs after losing 33-13 to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday.
They are the latest league team to have suffered a defeat as the Seattle Seahawks eliminated the New England Patriots.
Houston’s Tom Savage threw four interceptions – the team’s third straight game with multiple turnovers – and the Seattle Seahawks won 33-13 to secure a home game in the first round of the NFL playoffs.

The Patriots are already assured of a home match at New England for next weekend’s Super Bowl.
They are due to face the Atlanta Falcons in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, which begin on Saturday.
