The world number eight turned professional in 2012 and has not dropped a stroke all year.
Record breaking rounds Rose beat Albin Choi on the 17th hole of a sudden-death play-off to win the windy Women’s British Open at Kingsbarns in Scotland in 2013. Lee had to wait until the 31st hole of her final round to finish as she carded a closing 67 to finish tied second at the LPGA Kraft Nabisco Championship in California in April.
The Australian is a master of the one-metre par putt. After just one such putt in practice ahead of the Solheim Cup match in 2013, Lee wrote on Twitter: “I truly believe that one-metre putt is magic.”
On her debut at the Senior Solheim Cup at Royal Porthcawl in Wales earlier this year, Lee recorded a joint best-of-three win over Lydia Ko, Karrie Webb and Annika Sorenstam.
Lee’s best finish in a tournament this year was a tie for 27th in the Founders Cup in Phoenix, Arizona in February, with her worst finish coming a month later when she missed the cut in the $3.75m Zurich Classic in New Orleans, USA.
